PREMIUM LOCAL SLOW-WOOD

In our production we use carefully picked, premium Nordic pine. Individual trees that grow slowly

gain crucial capabilities for sustainable outdoor furniture with a long life span and that are easy

to maintain.

LINSEED OIL AND PAINT – A NATURAL CHOICE

Our products are prepared with high quality linseed oil paint that makes a perfect combination

with premium pine wood. The wooden furniture components are completely dry when prepared

so that the oil penetrates the surface thoroughly. This enables the coating to flex according to

the outdoor moist variations. Thanks to the natural materials the furniture are able dry

completely also from inside letting it mature gracefully and last over generations.

MAINTENANCE – POSSIBLE AND EASY

As a normal rule of thumb, we recommend wiping the furniture with a wet cloth (without any

chemicals or soap, preferably when wet after rain) so that residue from pollen and air pollution

comes off. If there are clearly visible stains of soot, fungus or similar, we recommend ‘Universal

Stone’ or similar mineral-based cleaning product that is not too harsh on the painted surface. Do

not use linseed or other soap while the natural paint can come off.

Linseed oil paint can after some years exposed to UV-radiation and other elements begin to

“chalk” i.e. color pigment is getting off the surface. This is a sign that the furniture is ready for oil

treatment. Make sure the furniture is all clean and free from dirt and loose particles. Use a harsh

cloth or a light sanding cushion.

When all clean and completely dry preferable use high quality aged, cold-pressed linseed oil for

the purpose. Apply a little oil on a sponge or cloth and treat the surface. Let it absorb for a few

ours and then remove possible redundant oil. The original color will now reappear and the

pigments rebound. If the surface still looks worn or free from paint, repaint in thin layers with

original linseed oil paint.

Furniture treated with a light color do best if you add a few thin layers of paint after the oil

treatment. Please feel free to contact us for maintenance products or for more information.

STORING FOR WINTER

Our furniture are recommended to be kept covered from above and on dry ground during

winter. Storing in room temperature is only recommended during maintenance. Please note: do

not cover the furniture with plastic sheet or similar. Outdoor furniture treated with linseed oil paint

shall be stored in airy spaces.
